Let's Start Here
Welcome! I’m Julia Hunt, here to support you on your journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.

A bit about me: I’m a black mixed-race cis-woman with roots in the Midwest and over a decade spent in New York City. I now offer Telehealth services from various locations, making it easy and convenient for you to access support.

My philosophy centers on nurturing your holistic well-being—mind, body, and soul—within your unique environment. I believe in a collaborative partnership, using diverse therapeutic modalities to explore insights that propel you toward your goals. With warmth, curiosity, and a touch of humor, I create a supportive space where you feel safe and empowered to embark on your journey.

Inclusivity and a trauma-informed approach are key to my practice. I honor the diverse backgrounds and experiences of my clients, recognizing the impact of past trauma on present-day life. I strive to create an environment that feels safe, trusting, and empowering.

I am deeply passionate about women's health and cycle health. I prioritize learning and growing in these areas, incorporating this knowledge into therapy where appropriate. Understanding and honoring the menstrual cycle can be a powerful tool for personal and interpersonal growth and healing.

Let’s work together to navigate your path toward a more fulfilling and vibrant life. I look forward to connecting with you!

Professional Development
I am committed to ongoing professional growth and have completed advanced training in object-relations psychoanalysis, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and am currently enrolled in an Internal Family System (IFS) introductory program. I am also a certified yoga teacher (300-YTT), and am a Certified Life Coach (CLC). My exploration of practices such as ashtanga, breath work, cold/ice plunges, and medicine ceremonies significantly influence my outlook, methodologies, and approach, fostering a deeper understanding of holistic wellness.
"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some compassion, some humor, and some style."
